[ Yeah, this whole thing is pleasant. A real Lovecraftian nightmare.
Charlie stays where he is for now, gaze wary. That voice is too deep and strange to place, so he’s still not sure who he’s talking with here. ]
It’s a little too post-apocalyptic for my taste. Not to mention squishy.
