A WILD PLACE TO EAT®

WHO: Kokomi and Gale
WHERE: Rainforest Cafe
WHEN: Late Feb?
WHAT: Friend date with ✨safari fries✨ and ⛈thunderstorms⛈
WARNINGS: They may or may not get drunk on the fruity beverages, stay tuned.

[ This isn't the first time Kokomi and Gale have explored the more "modern" parts of the hotel together. It's become something of a pastime for them, both coming from worlds so unlike this. And since Kokomi has recently had a birthday and they both keep hearing about this "Rainforest Cafe" place, they've decided to have a friendly outing to see what it's about.

First and foremost, it's not a café at all. It's a restaurant, and a rather interestingly decorated one at that. Kokomi feels like she's in some bizarre version of the Avidya Forest, complete with fake animals hidden among the plastic foliage. She expects to see fake fish swimming in the water, but instead finds the aquarium totally empty.

The whole experience so far has been strange, but not unpleasantly so. After she and Gale place their drink and dinner orders, she takes another look around. ]

What do you think of all this?

[Despite having heard about this place in passing, nothing prior to their coming here had actually prepared Gale for the experience of laying eyes on it for the first time. Perhaps nothing could. He'd done a fair amount of staring upon their arrival, but once they're seated and have placed their orders, he, too, can finally take in their surroundings with a more critical eye.]

Well, it's certainly...

[He clucks his tongue softly as he searches for the right word. He's not sure there are any.]

Interesting. [That will do, for now!] I'm curious as to what lead someone to design such an eatery in the first place! If one wanted to dine among wild beasts, they aren't terribly difficult to come by.

[Joking. Probably.]
