[ Elevator-riders today may notice an out of place card stuck on one side of the elevator, with the words "We invite you to Floor 11." Those who follow the guidance of the mysterious card and travel to the floor will find a trail of playing cards leading them to the floor's lounge, which has been brightly decorated in cat-themed decor of red and teal. There is also a gray and teal porcelain tea set on the table; the fragrant aroma of a rich black tea fills the air. There are also plates filled with shortbread cookies, scones with jam and small finger sandwiches.]

[ At the small stage in the center of the lounge are two similarly-dressed figures, smiling brightly (well one of them is) as people trickle in. The male of the pair steps forward to give a bow and a flourish of his arms. ]

Welcome to our welcome party, for us! We're so honored you could make it!

To help ourselves get settled in, we invite you to some tea and snacks made by my wonderful sister Lynette. Or to come and chat with myself, the humbly charming Lyney.

But if that isn't enough to keep things interesting, we invite you to play a game with us. A simple word game, of course, nothing complicated for our first meeting. Simply take the last word of our sentence and start your next sentence with it, and we will do the same. The first one to trip up is the loser! I must warn you though, my sister has a sharp way with words.

[ Clara is great at nothing if not going with the flow, so upon finding herself here, she simply takes her seat at the table with no fanfare, immediately pouring herself a cup of tea.

Once the introductory monologue is finished, she is clapping. She's never really gotten to watch live performances like this before. What a delight! ]

Show me what you are made of, then.

[cathasahat]

[ Her bow is less flashy than her brother's, but she does pull a matching top hat out of nowhere and rolls along back from one hand to the other. ]

Then I hope you enjoy the show, as well as the tea.

[indigrow]

[ Wow! She looks genuinely impressed. Such dexterity and grace! ]

Tea like this that is properly brewed, I will certainly appreciate.

[cathasahat]

[ After the hat reaches the other hand, she places it on her head and tips the hat at Clara. ]

Appreciate away, that's what good tea is for.

[indigrow]

[ Clap clap clap! ]

For what ever is such a delightful little show, I wonder?

Wonder and surprise are reward enough for a magician, but we also wanted to introduce ourselves since we're new arrivals.

[indigrow]

[ Oooh... She's good, just like her brother said. It does take her a moment to consider her response. ]

...Arrivals of a more recent sort, we are alike in that, though I arrived a few weeks ago.

[cathasahat]

[ She nods slightly, impressed--Clara is also good at this game. ]

"Ago" does not mean long in your case, it is true--how are you enjoying your stay?

[indigrow]

It has been rather relaxing, indeed—

[ Wait. ]

Oh! My, I answered without thinking.

[cathasahat]

Ah, but that means you are telling the truth about your experience, which is reassuring.

[indigrow]

Yes, yes, this is not something I would lie about.

[ Way to leave that extremely open to interpretation, but— ]

Are you worried that you will not have an enjoyable stay?

[cathasahat]

[ She will raise one eyebrow slightly at the wording but won't comment on it. ]

Hm, I suppose it's in my nature to be cautious. Especially when it comes to situations where there isn't an obvious downside.

[hathasacat]

[ What a wonderful audience she is! The clapping gets him to perk up a bit more, keeping his performing demeanor on. ]

Then might I suggest you start with the tea?

[indigrow]

[ Hmmm... She holds her teacup up. ]

Tea for only one - won't you or your sister join?

Join I shall, for only a fool would turn away an invitation from such a lovely lady.

[ He'll even flip his hat off, pulling out a teacup from within. ]

[indigrow]

[ Wow!! How did he pull a teacup out from his hat!? She reaches out with the teapot to pour some tea into it. ]

Lady Clara is the name, though there is no need to be formal with me!

[hathasacat]

Me- a poor new soul- would be remiss to treat the Lady Clara without the respect she deserves.

[ He'll graciously take the poured tea, giving another spin of his hat to pull out milk and sugar from it. ]

[indigrow]

Wow!

[ She sets the teapot down and claps, what a feat! But also, wait. Damn. She messed up. ]

Oho... I think I see what you are doing. Distracting me with your little magic tricks! Very well. I have lost this round.

[hathasacat]

Heheh, you put up a wonderful fight though. I was just at my rope's end with tricks.

[ And he does in fact pull out the end of a rope, which is tied around a bouquet of flowers that he presents to her. ]

[indigrow]

[ She takes the bouquet happily and holds it up, regarding it with a very discerning gaze. She's a botanist, after all, so she's got to quickly identify every flower she finds here! ]

Hoho... And this is another trick, too, but a very charming one! Are all of your shows this interactive?

[hathasacat]

[ They are unfortunately fake flowers, given that they've been living in a hat for who knows how long, but it's also a bouquet of Fontaine-unique flowers (Lumidouce Bell, Romaritime Flower, and Rainbow Rose) so they're... unique, at least! ]

Not all I'm afraid, but I do enjoy being able to have smaller shows like this to show our skills up close.
