[ One of these fine afternoons, you may notice something peculiar as you make your way around the hotel's lower floors perhaps in search of a restaurant or to wander through the lobby: a veritable mess of flowers and ribbons and grass and dirt... And also the occasional down feather?

If you look closely enough, it seems to be a trail of sorts! Its destination, if followed, leads you to one of the lounges, which has since been utterly taken over with more flowers and more ribbons and more grass and more dirt... and a whole lot of pillows and blankets.

In the midst of it all is one rabbit-eared young lady, seemingly busy at work weaving flowers and and ribbons together. What could she be up to!?

Nearby, on one of the end tables, there are stacks of flower crowns! From minimal to showy, small to big flowers, so forth, there's plenty. In fact, upon approach, leporine ears will swivel in your direction as Juniper calls out: ]

[IF ANYONE NEEDS A BREAK FROM WRANGLING SHADOWS. . . well, the hotel seems to have you covered! because on November 11, the hallways and lobbies are suddenly decorated with colorful signs advertising the sweet and delectable cookie treat known as. . . POCKY]

[the signs invite characters to come to the [REDACTED] floor to partake in as many boxes of the popular snack as they can. they even boast of having every single flavor the entire multiverse has to offer. wao!!]

[characters who decide to investigate the [REDACTED] floor will find that it's. . . basically just a floor of grocery shelves lined with pocky. and as promised, the arrangement of flavors is very diverse! you have your normal flavors, such as matcha or chocolate, as well as some stranger flavors like. . . caviar or buttered popcorn? you might want to avoid the ones labeled dirty socks. those are probably gross. either way, characters may help themselves to as much pocky as they'd like!]

WHAT: Halloween party!

[ As of the morning of October 31st, the 66th Floor — the home of the Spirit Halloween store and Lewis (not a Jack-o-Lantern) — has received a makeover, the interior rearranging itself into a space to accommodate, you guessed it — a Halloween party! Word spreads quickly through the staff and various eateries, maybe there's even some fliers hung up, but the festivities promise to make for a night worth remembering. Whatever that means, in a place as unpredictable as this one.

Upon arrival on the 66th floor, you will find you have been given a costume. Hopefully it's something flattering and not too embarrassing! But even if it is, you won't be able to change out of your getup until you leave the party. Costumes are mandatory according to the floor's rules, although what constitutes a costume is generously defined indeed.

There is, of course, a lot of finger (perhaps literal) food available, with punch for the teens and alcohol for the adults, and many attractions you might expect to see at a Halloween party: a dance floor (with fog machine!), pumpkin carving, bobbing for apples...there's also a spooky corn maze? And a door labeled as "haunted house", and another labeled "spider racing". Whatever that means. It's really just a grab bag of any and all Halloween-related activities you can dream of. Pretty much anywhere on the floor a playlist of spooky classics from all different worlds can be heard. The staff really wanted to capture the spirit of the season...even for those who have never heard of Halloween before.

So yeah, come enjoy the party...while it lasts! Because come November 1st, the Spirit Halloween floor will pack up for the year, probably to be replaced by an altar to Mariah Carey. ]

[Wherever you are in the hotel on this fine day, you might be finding yourself face-to-face with what looks like a handmade sign. They are all over the place, and they vary, with some standouts being:

A bunch of little brown ovals bearing smiley faces! Some have sunglasses! One has a KATANA. Speech bubbles over their heads proclaim “Come to Floor 29!” There’s also a note scrawled beneath it, rather pointedly: “These are coffee beans.”

Music notes! This one asks if you’ve burned your dread and have wiped all out. There’s a solution! CAFFEINE!! (No one has to go to war it’s okay)

Some of them are literally just big drawn arrows directing people in various directions.

What they all have in common is directions to the cafe, often with arrows pointing towards the stairs and elevators.

Should you choose to follow the signs and posters, you will eventually come upon a cafe floor! There is the blessed smell of coffee and pastries, and once you head over to the counter, you’ll discover… the twins! They’re dressed as butlers (yes, Kotone too), and working the counter, or bustling around the cafe to deliver drinks, or cleaning tables.
