He's fortunate enough to come from a world with a wide variety of human-like entities--his best friend being one of them, though Tighnari certainly (presumably?!) bleeds and scars like anyone else. Even if that weren't the case, though, it's likely his reaction would still be the same. He is, after all, chronically soft-hearted.
