It gives the pair the opportunity to bolt down the hallway, hand in hand, towards the elevator from which they had come. While they're in a hurry, the maid never lets her grasp on Sumina's hand falter, but nor does she look behind them. Only once they've made it inside the elevator, pressing the button for the door to close, do her eyes linger back to the kitchen door, where the shadows are only beginning to emerge in pursuit. ]
